Does anyone have a recipe that isn’t too abstract for a mask or facial cream to leave on over-night that will help with my acne and/or complexion? I try and wash my face every night, but I want to do something more! All answers are appreciated!

lemon juice with pinch of salt and few drops of honey

No, it’s not bad for your acne.

yesterday I’ve had a basic facial done and the aesthetician recommended I should have a series of 6 photo actif treatments (red/blue light) to help heal up my acne. This procedure would cost me $360. Is it worth the cost? I’ve tried all kinds of OTC acne products and have purchased some milder skin care products at the spa as well (also upon recommendation), but am wondering if the photo actif treatment will really make a difference. My skin shows healing of acne spots and does look better today.
Neither witch hazel nor tea tree oil products did anything to improve my skin.
I’ve been looking into the NatureBright Clarity Skin light appliance, but can’t find any feedback on it (positive or negative)

That’s too expensive. There are manufacturers on the internet that sells red/blue light kits at home. but a ware that some of them are not so effective.

Well i got a bit of acne on my forehead and chin, its not really that bad but i dont like it, anyways to get rid of it without having to buy expensive creams like proactive and shit, and i dont want that stuff kuz i heard you have to use it allll the time and when u stop using it your acne just comes back and sometimes comes back worse…

There are many products out there. The one I recommend is Neutrogena Acne Drying Gel. It’s not that expensive and you just apply to the infected area twice daily. It’s great. Also keep your face clean and oily skin under control as much as possible. Neutrogena also makes a great face wash. The combination of the two should just about do it.

My favorite acne cure is this:

Take a look. I heard it really does work, unlike some temporary patches.

Just the things listed please :)
I don’t want anything that will make me break out, but i want to fade a few that i have. (probably 2 big ones, then a few little ones)
So which would work the best and the fastest? :)
**no spam, and no recommending other things! thanks**

i personaly say Vitamin E oil because it heals dry skin. areas where you have had breakouts and now have scars..are usually dry and flaky. i would use the Vitamin E oil because it not only heals the chapped/dry/ flacky area but it soothes and softens the skin leaving behind a heathy look and feel. plus it is an oil that ur skin already has and sometimes not enough so this might be what it takes! hope this helps.. Chow!!

Please help me!!! I have been using ProActive but it doesn’t seem to work….I tried to not let it get to me before but it is getting to me now! It hurts emotionally…I don’t want to go out, people to look at me, the usual! Please no rude comments about putting a bag over my head and all that negative stuff. You think it won’t happen to you? I used to have very clear skin!!!

do you have bangs or greasy hair? that could be it. do you always have hair in your face? try not to have those things bother you, you will get over it! :)

I have pretty bad acne on my forehead, my side bangs might be the cause for that, but I’m not sure. If you could give me a homemade acne treatment that’s common that would be great :D I also have a few pimples on my back and chest that I would like to get rid of. And if you have a homemade treatment that gets rid of acne AND keeps it from coming back that would be awesome! :D It’s just embarrassing to have, I’m sure if you have/had acne you would understand. Any help appreciated. :)

Perhaps I ought also to mention that though I get only the occassional zit on my face, I have pretty severe back acne. I am a teenager, and I daresay it’s nothing that won;t clear up (he says that now…) but I wondered if, rahter than drugging myself to death with various lotions and potions, I couldn’t simply use an antibacterial soap and take vitamin A supplements to help control oil levels or something?
Thanks

Vitamin A will not help your acne, it is also potentially toxic in above RDA doses, damaging the retina.

Go see your GP to get your acne assessed properly and for him to provide appropriate management.
