Every night I use either aloe or vitamin e or green tea lotion for discoloration or onion extract on my acne scars. Is it better to mix it up or stick with one thing? How long do you think it will take to see results? Any suggestions on what else I could try?
Have you personally tried zenmed? Did it work for you?

And to the other person, did the apple cider vinegar really work?

Thank you!

Zenmed works for hyperpigmentation and light acne scars. Read the complete regimen here:http://www.acne-removal-scar.net/zenmed-scar-kit.html

In my experience manuka honey is a great home remedy for acne scars.Active Manuka Honey provides the wound with amino acids, vitamins and sugars. The vitamin C in it for example might play a major role in collagen synthesis for scar reduction.

I am 17 and i take Centrum Complex Vitamins, I have beentaking them for more then a year now.
I have some acne and blemishes on my face and back and chest, and I am not sure if VITAMINS could cause that.

It says that the vitamin is not for children "idk if I qualify as a child"

Really, there is nothing in Centrum that should be causing acne, if you are taking them in the appropriate dosage. Allergies could cause this but the vitamin itself is not to blame.

Acne diet
Acne : Home Remedies suggested by users
All-fruit Acne diet
To begin with, the patient should take only an ‘all-fruit’ diet for a week, taking three meals a day, of fresh juicy fruits, such as apples, pears, grapes, grapefruit, pineapples, and peaches. Only unsweetened lemon or plain water, either hot or cold, should be drunk and nothing else.

Well-balanced Acne diet
After the one-week, all-fruit diet, the patient can gradually adopt a well-balanced diet with emphasis on raw foods, especially fresh fruit and vegetables, sprouted seeds, raw nuts, and wholegrain cereals, particularly millet and brown rice. Further short periods of the ‘all-fruit’ diet for three days or so may be necessary at a monthly interval till the skin’s condition improves.

Avoid strong tea/coffee, soft drinks and processed foods
Meats, sugar, strong tea or coffee, condiments, pickles, soft drinks, candies, ice cream, refined and processed foods should be avoided as far as possible.

Other Acne natural treatments
Warm-water enema
During the initial one week ‘all-fruit’ diet, a warm-water enema taken daily cleanses the bowels. Apply hot fomentation locally to open up the pores and to bring out the waste matter. Then rinse the affected parts with cold water.

Hot Epsom salts bath
A hot Epsom salts bath twice a week is beneficial in all cases of acne. This bath is prepared by adding 1 ½ kg of Epsom salts to 60 litres of water having a temperature of about 37.8° C. The patient should remain in the bath tub for 25-35 minutes till he sweats freely. After the bath, the patient should cool off gradually.

For some reason my forehead is always a target for acne and I hate it. I do work at a fast food restaurant (McDonald’s) and it does tend to get a little hot in there. I hate these pimples on my forehead. How can they go away?

Proactive?

You cant really make them go away. But you can have them not come as much by not touching your face. When you touch your face, you are transferring oil to your face. I read somewhere that it doesn’t matter what you eat, as long as you keep yourself clean, you won’t get pimples. Also, if you have hair that touches your face, that can also be a problem. And washing your hair helps.

well theres nothing really that can work fast, but you could put tooth paste on your pimples at night and take it off in the morning and it will get rid of the redness. also you could make a mask our of brown sugar and milk. you scrub it on your face for 1 min and then take it off with HOT water, it opens the pores.

I have some acne scars, rough looking skin, and skin darkening due to sun damage. Are therapies like blue light therapy or microdermabrasion good, or are there creams I can use to treat these ailments.( I mean good creams, becuase I have 2 useless products at home which aren’t doing anything for me right now.

The best cream you can get for getting rid of scars is very simply Vitamin E cream. Use it for 100 days and the idea is that it helps the skin heal 1% per day. After 100 days it will have healed as much as it can with the cream helping, after that you will have to try something else. There are lots of creams on the market from the pharmacy that claim to help heal scars but they wont change the roughness on your skin from the acne scarring just make it a bit softer and help with the discolouration. Dermabrasion and laser therapy are dramatic but if you have it done by a professional it can make a huge difference because it literally takes the surface off your skin letting it start again. Any peels, abrasive therapies or laser type therapies you really have to look into because they can have serious sideffects especially if you have sensitive skin or are prone to keloid scarring. Personally I would get an appointment with a dermatologist and discuss it with them as they may have a better idea of the treatment that would work for you and your skin type. I found an article that you might find interesting on comparing a couple of the different ways of removing acne scarring. Here is the link and good luck!!

I get the worst forehead acne and i shampoo and shower everyday and use face soap. Im open to any ideas please help! Thanks! :)

Hmm,…well your acne could be caused by a number of problems. First off, try not to over wash it! When you keep stripping the skin of its natural oils and acids it only wants to produce more and it will only irritate your skin. Second, try to keep your hair off your forehead, the oils from it as well as residue from things like shampoos can cause you to breakout. I say you use a spot treatment first, I find that ones with benzoyl peroxide work best for actual bumps instead of blackheads. Also you should exfoliate with some type of facial cleanser at least twice a week, by removing dead skin cells from your skin, your skin will have less of a chance of breaking out. You can also do little things like changing your pillow case every other day to prevent bacteria and oils from being transferred to your face. Also, DONT touch your face unless your hands are clean, otherwise you are just adding more oil and bacteria that your skin can breakout with. And I can’t tell you enough how much drinking lots of water helps. It helps your body flush out bacteria and impurities that get locked under your skin and cause acne so gulp that water down!(also it will make your skin look brighter and more vibrant) Also, if it really is bad I recommend that you see your doctor. And don’t worry, they’ll probably just prescribe you an oral antibiotic or a topical solution(or both) to kill the bacteria that is below your skin causing you to breakout. And since most acne is hormone related, your doc may prescribe you with a birth control pill to help regulate your hormone. Now with any of these methods the best thing is time, you wont see results right away, at least not significant ones but be patient and keep fighting that acne!

for the most part, i have totally clear skin if i stick to my skin care routine, but every once in a while i get really deep, painful zits usually on my nose, but i can shake them in a day or so. i got one the other day on the side of my nose, and it is so big and ugly and painful and i cant stand another second with it. i’ve spent the past hour trying to make it at least hurt less, i’ve done 2 face washes, 5 scrubs, a mask, my wave, a spot treatment, an i even tried toothpaste, and it looks no different. i cant go to longs or anything anytime soon and i need it to be gone by tomorrow or i’ll go nuts, so i need a really good, fast working homemade acne treatment, does anyone know one? also, i only need one or two, so dont send me to a site with over 100 or anything cuz then i’ll just get confused. and dont make them too weird, make the ingredients stuff i would have
and changman, did you even read the question, what do you think i’ve been doing for the past hour
argh, what is with all these ppl saying wash your face, read the stinkin question!!!

i use 100% real honey with lime juice as a face mask. You can feel the difference after you take it off. but you leave it on for more than 30 min if you can go like an hour or more GREAT!
