I was wondering if the blue light acne treatment works well for moderately severe acne. My face usually gets better during the summer when I’m in the sun a lot so does this mean this will act like the sun and exfoliate all the bacteria and oils?
I have heard that this treatment does make it worse for some people

If you have exhausted all of the conservative topical therapies for acne, then blue light is an option. There is good research buttressing its benefits on clearing acne lesions. It kills bacteria, but your oil production most likely stays the same.

If you have severe recalcitrant acne, then isotretinoin is an option if your blood work comes out clean.

As long as you wear broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 15 or greater every day and reapply every 2 hours for optimal photoprotection, there is no need to worry.

I have lots of acne on my forehead from when I had long hair, and I just keep breaking out. I’ve used two different kinds of wipes, and two different gels. It’s really getting to me how much it is, and I want to get rid of it really fast. Please help.

Have you tried putting acne cream on it? That works very well for me.
